Our Mission
The Friends of Olivia Foundation supports families from our community that must travel to a medical centre outside of Thunder Bay. Our support is not disease or illness specific.
Since the foundation started, we have had 20 families request our assistance. To date we have granted $31,012.36 in assistance to families in the Thunder Bay District.
Our Vision
The Friends of Olivia Foundation will be a recognized organization that supports families who require financial assistance for medical care and treatment in the District of Thunder Bay through a strong belief in community and philanthropy.
- The foundation will reach out and support each family that requires financial assistance for the purpose of traveling outside of Thunder Bay to receive medical care.
- The Foundation will develop strong corporate partnerships within the community of Thunder Bay to help it reach its financial goals.
- The Friends of Olivia Foundation will hold two annual fundraising events, which will help the foundation raise awareness in the community as well as funds for traveling families.
- The Foundation will develop a strong, well-established volunteer program to aid and support in events and fundraising programs.
- The Friends of Olivia Foundation will establish a virtual resource center that will provide information to families that have to travel outside of their hometown for medical reasons.
- The Foundation will strive to provide financial assistance to families who have to travel from other communities in Northwestern Ontario to Thunder Bay for medical care and treatments.
